SAS Motors Limited has a wide range of mechanisation solutions for each and every type of sugarcane cultivation practices in prevalence in India
Sugarcane is one of the main crops used in the production of sugar: 70% of the world’s sugar is made from sugarcane. In India, Sugarcane is grown as a Kharif Crop. It needs hot and humid climate with an average temperature of 21°C to 27°C. 75-150 cm rainfall is favourable for sugar cane cultivation. Irrigation needed for areas with lesser rainfall. Sugarcane can grow in any soil which can retain moisture. Ideal soil for sugarcane is deep rich loamy soil.
Sugarcane is an important cash crop in India, occupying 40 lakh hectare area. It is grown in two distinct agro-climatic regions: the tropical and sub tropical; Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu being the important cane growing states in tropical region while Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Bihar are the four important states growing sugarcane in North India. Uttar Pradesh in sub-tropical occupy the top position as far as sugarcane crop area and sugar industry are concerned.
The average cane yield in India is about 70.0 tonnes per hectare while the sugar recovery is around 10.0 percent.
Keeping in mind the varying methods of sowing and row to row spacing of sugarcane planting adopted by farmers of different regions, states, districts and tehsil/taluks in India. We have a developed a range of Sugarcane specific models of Angad Diesel Hal/Angad Power Hals with Petrol and Diesel engines in 6-8 horsepower (HP) range.
Additionally, we have these machines in both centre rotary and rear rotary models which can easily operate in sugarcane plant to plant row spacing of as low as 18 inches (46 centimetres). Sugarcane farmers can get in touch with us to get a customised solution for their sugarcane farming practices.
